"Hardcore Jollies" was the ninth studio album by George Clinton's seminal P-Funk band Funkadelic and their debut on Warner Bros Records.
Released in October 1976 and dedicated to the "guitarists of the world", "Hardcore Jollies" showed that Funkadelic was the hardest black rock band since Jimi Hendrix's Band Of Gypsies (to back this up, Buddy Miles even played on one track). With stunning lead guitarists Michael Hampton and Eddie Hazel, funk god Bootsy Collins on bass, Bernie Worrell's keyboard wizardry and much more, the album was engineered by P-Funk genius George Clinton.
The album reached No. 12 in the US R&B charts and spawned the singles "Comin' Round The Mountain" (US R&B No. 54) and 'Smokey' (US R&B No. 96) as well as a live remake of "Cosmic Slop" from the 1973 album of
