So one can confidently speak of a success story. After their debut "Fanfares" (2012) and the follow-up "v2.0", things really took off for the band: numerous major jazz festivals, gigs all over Europe, a tour of North America. A record deal with Blue Note Records followed.
GoGo Penguin's first album on the new label was called "Man Made Object", which stems from their fascination with robotics and technology. On it, pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Rob Turner do what they do best: modern acoustic jazz.
