• Rico began his career in the late 1950s Years, when he played with such greats as Prince Buster, Laurel Aitken, and Max Romeo as a session musician, in addition to making in addition to making his own recordings. In the early 60s he moved to the UK, where he continued to perform continued to perform live and work as a session musician. In 1979 Rico met Jerry Dammers and began playing with The Specials.
