• “3+3” from 1973 was a giant step for the Isley Brothers. The original members Ronald, O’Kelly and Rudolph Isley recruited their cousin Chris Jasper to handle the keyboard; younger brothers Ernie and Marvin joined on guitar and bass, respectively. The line-up was also reflected in the band’s sound, which became more rock more in the direction of rock, but without neglecting the R’n’B and soul and soul sound, which had won them a loyal fan base fan base
