• Cheap Trick At Budokan (1978) is one of the greatest live albums of all time, capturing the bands raw energy and electric connection with their Japanese audience. The album transformed Cheap Trick from cult favorites to rock superstars, thanks to explosive performances of I Want You to Want Me (which became a massive hit in this version) and Surrender, both brimming with power-pop hooks and arena-rock swagger. Rick Nielsens guitar riffs, Robin Zanders charismatic vocals, and Bun E. Carlos pounding drums shine throughout, particularly on Aint That a Shame and Big Eyes. Loud, fun, and packed with anthems, At Budokan is a high-energy masterpiece that defines Cheap Tricks appeal.
