• The idea for Boygenius came about when Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus were booked together for a US tour. Bridgers and Dacus first met in the backstage area of a festival in Philadelphia and immediately liked each other. Dacus has been sharing songwriting ideas with Baker via email for a long time. With their last albums, the three songwriters proved that they belong to the young and great talents of the American alternative music scene.
  In this respect, it is not surprising that after just a few sessions the results were so productive that instead of the originally planned tour 7“, an EP with six tracks was created.
