Some things in life are meant to be consumed whole: a perfectly paced movie, an oyster at Whitstable Bay, a novella on a sunny afternoon. Into this pantheon of singular experiences comes Runners, the second album from London instrumental rock quartet Dog Unit.

The follow-up to At Home, the bands cult favourite 2024 debut album, Runners moves seamlessly across its 42-minute runtime. It finds the quartet comprising Sam Walton, Henry Scowcroft, James Weaver and Lucy Jamieson crafting tracks that undulate, churn and yearn in service of a greater purpose as they plough fertile fields of sonic storytelling. Made over the first four months of 2026 at the bands studio in Limehouse, East London, Runners finds the core group, alongside producer and long-time collaborator Mark Estall, operating with greater ambition and scope than ever before.
