• “Pompeii” is Cate Le Bon’s sixth studio album and the follow-up to her 2019 Mercury Nominated album. Sure: the album bears a fabled title that evokes the apocalypse. But the metaphor darkens with each “dissection of immediacy,” Le Bon says.
  Yet it doesn’t want to downplay its bow toward disorientation brought on by a double catastrophe – the global pandemic plus this colliding ecology of climate emergency.
