• New vinyl edition of “Einsjger Und Siebenjger”, the classic Popol Vuh album from 1974, recorded at AIR Studios, London.

  “Einsjger Und Siebenjger” is considered one of the best albums by the German collective led by musical visionary Florian Fricke. The title is derived from mythological figures from the Mayan manuscripts after which the band named itself.

  The recordings were made in Munich by Florian Fricke (piano), Daniel Fichelscher (guitars, percussion), Djong Yun (vocals) and guest flautist Olaf Kubler from Amon Dl II.

  The album, which contains five shorter pieces on the first side and the impressive, atmospheric, side-long title track on the second side, is one of Popol Vuh’s finest albums and an excellent example of their fluid compositional genius.
