• Diana Krall’s new album,” Wallflower, “was originally announced for October 2014. However, Krall fell ill with pneumonia and postponed the Wallflower tour as well as the album’s release until the end of January 2015. Now she is fit again and we can look forward to a good start into the crossover jazz year.
  For Diana Krall, genre boundaries have always been free and open. Now she dedicates herself entirely to pop. She has – she says so herself – not made jazz songs out of them, but interprets them in a simple way as she remembers them. “California Dreamin ‘” by The Mamas And The Papas dates from the first year of her life, 1965, and the title song “Wallflower” by Bob Dylan is a bootleg classic from 1971 that didn’t officially come out until 1991.
