• “Aventine” is the follow-up to the hit debut “Philharmonics”, which has now sold over 450,000 copies in Europe since its release in 2010, achieved platinum status in France and Belgium and 5x platinum in Denmark, where Agnes Obel was also awarded five Danish Music Awards (the Danish Grammy) in 2011.
  Agnes Obel is originally from Copenhagen and has lived in Berlin since 2006. She recorded “Aventine” in her Chalk Wood Studios in Berlin in spring 2013. As with “Philharmonics”, she wrote, arranged and produced the songs on the new album herself. The line-up consists of Agnes Obel (piano / vocals), Anne Mller, who already played with Nils Frahm (cello) and Mika Posen from Timber Timbre on violin and viola.
