Janis Joplin - Pearl (50th Anniversary Edition) (RSD 2021)

This is a Record Store Day 2021 release.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Janis Joplin's Pearl, the x10 track album will be made available as a picture disc for the very first time. The Record Store Day exclusive features the iconic cover portrait lensed by Barry Feinstein. Pearl showcased some of Janis's most familiar and best-loved performances including Cry Baby, her cover of Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee," and the off-the-cuff a cappella "Mercedes Benz," the last song she ever recorded.
