The album is structured as three standalone records that together tell a story of the past, present, and future. It features performances by longtime Chicago collaborators including Spencer Tweedy, Sammy Tweedy, James Elkington, Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart, and Liam Kazar. Choral vocals are a standout element, especially on tracks like One Tiny Flower, Cry Baby Cry, and New Orleans.
