This is the perfect stage for the intensity of Nina’s voice and her Piano talent accompanied by a terrific backing band with Eric Gale and Rudy Stevenson on guitar, Bob Bushnell on bass, Drummer Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, Ernie Hayes on the organ and Buddy Lucas on harmonica and saxophone
With a song selection that is among the best blues songs of all time, this record moves back to the essence of the blues: to raw and sincere goose-pimple melodies.
