Queen sound more polished here than before and deliver an unabashed pop album. Mack, who also worked as a recording engineer for the Electric Light Orchestra, introduced Mercury and his colleagues to new recording techniques. On The Game, Queen use a synthesizer (Oberheim OBX) for the first time, though still with restraint. Another One Bites The Dust and Crazy Little Thing Called Love became worldwide successes.
