• In the early 1990s, tenor saxophonist Teddy Edwards from Jackson, Mississippi, was one of the “forgotten jazz heroes” alongside Joe Henderson, Shirley Horn and Abbey Lincoln, who experienced a late renaissance thanks to a series of outstanding recordings for Verve. With his blues-soaked, powerful sound and imaginative original compositions, however, he was already captivating on the 1960 album “Sunset Eyes”.

  Blue Note Tone Poet Edition: Stereo, produced by Joe Harley, completely remastered in analog by Kevin Gray from the original tapes, RTI pressing (180g), sturdy tip-on gatefold sleeve, padded inner sleeve.
