  In 1997, a group of very talented musicians came together in Vancouver to form a band. The focal point was songwriter A. C. Newman, who had a precise idea of what the sound should be: Fresh! The band project was called “The New Pornographers” and the debut album “Mass Romantic” was recorded in 2000. this was followed in 2003 by “Electric Version”, which received great reviews all over the world and also brought the band their commercial breakthrough in the States.

  Compared to its predecessors, the new album seems a little rougher.
