• When Jim Davis began producing records with Verve, he changed the recording philosophy of the company towards their most productive musician. Where Norman Granz had produced countless Oscar Peterson albums with mostly popular compositions, Davis was more interested in making albums that sounded like the Peterson trio live. His first Peterson recordings were the legendary London House Sessions.
