• At the beginning of the year, The Weeknd released “The Highlights”, his first hit compilation. At the end of the year, record lovers can now also enjoy the album on double LP
A decade after his very first release, The Weeknd is more successful and omnipresent than ever before: following the record-breaking single “Blinding Lights” from his latest fourth album, 2020’s After Hours, the Canadian R’n’B singer headlined the legendary halftime show at the US Super Bowl for the first time this year. Another accolade for the musician, who seals the first decade in the spotlight in 2021 with his best of album “The Highlights”: with 18 songs by the pop mastermind, from his beginnings to the global successes of recent years.
