Originally released in 1972, "Close to the Edge" is a record that consists of three tracks, the first a good twenty, the other two around ten minutes long. With many borrowings from classical music, especially the sonata form, it succeeds here to create a music, that although complex after a few times of listening Out of your head after a few times of listening. One of the great classics of the progressive genre, that's for sure.Review
