• There are hit albums. There are blockbusters. And there are Brothers in Arms. One of the world’s best-selling albums that catapulted Mark Knopfler and band to the top and won two Grammy Awards, including Best Mixing.
MTV may have contributed to the album’s enormous success, but it’s the excellently crafted songs and the memorable instrumental playing of the musicians involved that make it a classic. Mark Knopfler’s guitar riffs and Sting’s vocals in Money for Nothing remain unmistakable to any music lover.
Reviews”The black discs rotating at 45 rpm are particularly convincing even in the quiet passages of the atmospherically overwhelming title track. Compared to other versions, the sound image here detaches itself more clearly from the speakers.” (Stereo, June 2015)
