• After the tour for the predecessor, the band, which at the time consisted of Peter Hammill (vocals, guitar, piano), David Jackson (tenor and soprano saxophone, flute), Hugh Banton (Hammond organ, bass, Mellotron, piano) and Guy Evans (drums, percussion), went back into the studio at Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire. There they completed the two songs “Pilgrims” and “La Rossa”, which were still from the “Godbluff” session, and wrote the three remaining tracks “Still Life”, “My Room (Waiting For Wonderland)” and “Childlike Faith In Childhood’s End”.
